Established in May of 2000, North Arrow Technologies is the product of assembling a core group of innovative and dedicated individuals with geographic information systems (GIS) experience.  Located in Southeastern Michigan, we provide GIS-based solutions to clients throughout the state of Michigan and beyond.

JAMES RUTHERFORD, GISP
President & GIS Director

James has worked with geospatial technologies since 2000 in both the public and private sectors. James joined North Arrow in 2003 first as a GIS technician and currently is the President and GIS Director where he is responsible for managing and executing GIS-based projects. He also serves as a primary technical consultant for local government clients by providing on-site GIS support and training. He has been a certified GIS Professional (GISP) since 2008.
